TERMS & CONDITIONS OF BALTASAR TRAVEL
Please read these Terms and conditions carefully, as they contain important information concerning your legal rights and limitations on these rights.

ACCEPTANCE OF THE AGREEMENT
The contract constituted by the company’s acceptance of the client’s booking, subject to these booking conditions, shall constitute the entire agreement between the client and the company. The payment of a deposit or final payment by bank transfer indicates that tour participants have read and accepted all terms and conditions and agree to abide by them.
BOOKING CONDITIONS
- CONCLUSION OF TRAVEL CONTRACT
Please note that your booking is for you as well as for all the people travelling with you. You are answerable for your obligations in respect of this contract as well as other people travelling with you.
The contract will contain all important details and information on the holiday fees and services included in the tour price.
- DEPOSIT REQUIREMENTS
You are required to pay a deposit of 30% of the total amount for your booking after confirmation within 7 (seven) days. If your booking is made within 30 days of the departure date, then the full amount is payable at the time of booking and confirmation.
- ACCEPTANCE OF BOOKING AND FINAL PAYMENTS
After accepting your booking, a booking confirmation invoice will be issued, and a contract will exist between you and Baltasar Travel PLC from the date we issue the confirmation invoice or if you book within 30 days of departure the contract will exist when we receive your payment.
Please refer to your booking confirmation invoice for details regarding final payments, including how to make the payment.
Payment of the rest of the tour price (70%) is due 30 days before the departure date, except as otherwise set out in the service contract. If this balance is not paid on or before the due date, we reserve the right to treat your booking as cancelled and any cancellation charges outlined in the service contract will apply.
- PRICES AND SURCHARGES
Our tours are subject to variable and seasonal pricing, which are standard practices within the travel industry. This means our trip prices may vary at any time in accordance with demand, market conditions and availability.
- CANCELLATION BY YOU
A cancellation will only be effective when we receive awritten (via e-mail) statement from you. If you cancel your booking the cancellation terms stated below will apply:
up to 61 days before the start of the trip: 10 %
from 60 to 41 days before departure: 20 %
from 40 to 31 days before departure: 25 %
from 30 to 21 days before the start of the trip: 30 %
from 20 to 15 days before the start of the trip: 40 %
from 14 to 7 days before the start of the trip: 75 %
from 6 to 1 day before the start of the trip: 80 %
on the day of the start of the trip or in case of no-show: 100 %
- CANCELLATION BY US
Baltasar Travel PLC can cancel the tour contract up to 4 weeks before the start of the trip if the minimum number of participants is not reached. If the trip is not carried out for this reason, the customer will be informed immediately and will be refunded any payments made on the tour price. Baltasar Travel PLC does not assume any refunds for third-party services, such as flights, which the customer has purchased outside of Baltasar Travel’s range of services. The minimum number of participants depends on the information in the respective travel description. If the minimum number of participants is not reached, Baltasar Travel PLC will endeavor to find alternative ways to carry out the trip.
Refunds: In case of a refund, we’ll send it back using the same method that was used for the original payment. If you don’t show up for your reservation, we won’t be able to give you a refund. We also deduct a 5% bank fee from all refunds.
FORCE MAJEURE
We prioritize your well-being and safety above all!!
We will not be liable or pay you compensation if our contractual obligations to you are affected by “Force Majeure”. For the purposes of these Terms and Conditions, Force Majeure means any event beyond our or our supplier’s control, the consequences of which could not have been avoided even if all reasonable measures had been taken. Examples include warfare and acts of terrorism (and threat thereof), civil strife, significant risks to human health such as the outbreak of serious disease at the travel destination or natural disasters such as floods, earthquakes or weather conditions which make it impossible to travel safely to the travel destination or remain at the travel destination, any event which we or the supplier(s) of the service(s) in question could not, even with all due care, foresee or avoid.
REQUIRED INFORMATION
Travelers are responsible for obtaining any documents required for their participation in the tour such as a valid passport, all visas, vaccination certificates, insurance and any other documents. Failure to obtain documents does not negate the terms and conditions, and any extra costs incurred for rerouting due to travel without the necessary documents will be the traveler’s
CHANGES TO THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS
We may revise these terms of use at any time by amending this page. Please check this page from time to time to take notice of any changes we make, as they are binding on you.
CHANGES ON OUR WEBSITE
Although we make reasonable efforts to update the information on our website, we cannot guarantee that the content on our site is accurate, complete or up to date. We shall be entitled to change our website content from time to time, without notice, and for any reason.
There may be mistakes and errors in our website content which we fail to notice, which will not be binding on us. We reserve the right to correct any errors at any time without notice. If any correction affects any booking or order you have submitted to your material detriment, then we will give you the opportunity to cancel the booking.
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
The material contained on our websites (tours, design, text and graphics) is owned or licensed by us and are protected by national and international intellectual property laws, including copyright. You may use our websites only for your personal and non-commercial purposes.
Your use of our websites must not in any way infringe the intellectual property rights of any person in any jurisdiction.
You must only use this Site for lawful purposes and in a responsible manner. Any breach of these Terms by you will result in legal action being taken by us against you.
SPECIAL REQUESTS AND UNUSED TOUR ITEMS/SERVICE
If the Client has any special requests, he should inform us at the time of booking. Baltasar Travel PLC will try to satisfy such requests, but, as these do not form part of the contract, the company does not guarantee to do so, If the Company confirms that a special request has been noted or passed on to the supplier or refers to it on the confirmation invoice or elsewhere, this is not a guarantee to fulfill it. The Client will not be specifically notified if a special request cannot be met. The Company does not accept bookings which are conditional on the fulfillment of any special request.
No refund will be made for any unused meals, sightseeing tours, or any other services.
YOU HAVE A COMPLAINT If you have a problem during your holiday, you must firstly inform your local tour guide or tour coordinator immediately about the complaint and the issues must be solved at spot, if it is still not possible to resolve the matter, please immediately contact us by email: [email protected] or tel.+251984489090. If you fail to contact us on time, it would be difficult to investigate your complaint and attempt to rectify any error while you are away and this may affect your rights under this General terms and conditions. All the complaints have to be sent or communicated to baltasar Travel within a maximum 7 calendar days after the end of the tour.
Please note that you can still approach our headoffice in Addis Ababa before your back home flight.
APPLICABLE LAW AND DISPUTES
These terms and conditions and the relationship between client and baltasar Travel PLC. is governed exclusively by Ethiopian law, and you must bring any claims against us exclusively in the courts of Ethiopia.
